Parklands, Quendon Hall

With a marble-floored entrance hall and crystal chandelier, the awe inspiring arrival at Parklands sets you up for the rest of the venue. Boasting lots of original features and modern twists, there’s something for everyone. The Mansion looks opulent from the outside with its original feature windows and red brickwork. The original columns are also at the front of the house, which really add to the grandeur of the venue. The external grounds at Parklands feature a large fountain in the front gardens and views over the 100-acre deer park.

The Drawing Room offers a cosy setting with a roaring log fire in Braxted Park Set majestically in 500 acres of parkland and approached by a sweeping driveway, lies Braxted House. The Walled Garden has been carefully restored to its former beauty making an idyllic setting for a wedding. The Pavilion is situated within the garden itself and overlooks the semi-mature pleached hornbeam hedging, intricate planting and cascading water features, creating the most perfect photo backdrop. The Orangery is an exceptionally pretty room overlooking the mature gardens of the main house; whereas The Knott Garden is a picturesque setting within the walled garden, both of which can comfortably seat 150 loved ones to witness your vows. Receptions can take place in The Reception Hall, which provides the perfect country house setting for your post-vows drinks before sitting down to your wedding breakfast in the elegant Ballroom. The Walled Garden Pavilion is also a superb location for a reception, catering from 50 to 300 guests and is fully equipped with air conditioning, heating and bar facilities. We love... the bridal hampers offered to nearly-weds who get ready at the venue. Contact: 01621 892 305 | braxtedparkweddings.co.uk the winter months, ideal for smaller ceremonies of up to 40 and intimate wedding breakfasts of 32 people. The grand Banqueting Hall is ideal for hosting between 30 and 140 guests for your ceremony.

Finally, The Pavilion, which adjoins the house, is elegantly lit with chandeliers and a starlight ceiling, and makes an enchanting area for nuptials of larger numbers as it can accommodate up to 400 guests for a civil ceremony and an additional 200 evening revellers.

We love... the Honeymoon Cottage nestled in the deer park, so you have the wedding night to yourselves in your own little sanctuary, including a four-poster bed and Jacuzzi bath for two.
