The Montenotte in Cork, Ireland, has announced The Woodland Suite...
The private Maldivian-owned boutique island resort of Baros has won the title of 'The World's Most Romantic Resort' for the sixth time at the 25th annual World Travel Awards final held in Lisbon, Portugal.
Baros is a retreat offering complete privacy, designed especially for couples whether on honeymoon, celebrating an anniversary or simply enjoying a romantic retreat. Ceremonies celebrating the renewal of wedding vows are arranged on the beach under the palm trees, on a sandbank, on the resort's Piano Deck over the lagoon, or on a traditional sailing dhoni. No traffic, motorised water-sports or unnecessary noise shatter the resort's tranquillity, preserving the true essence of a romantic holiday.
The general manager of Baros, Ahmed Jhihad, expressed his thanks on behalf of all those associated with Baros, saying "This award encourages us at Baros because it was made after both assessment by industry professionals as well as through recommendations by guests. We aim to make sure our guests enjoy the exclusive seclusion, luxurious comfort and exquisite cuisine that are the hallmarks which have made us the World's Most Romantic Resort."
Baros is a bijou tropical island of 75 individual Villas either overwater or by the beach, many with private pools, one Baros Residence and two newly introduced large Baros Suites each with a private lounge and pool with Jacuzzi, shaded with lush vegetation and complete with round-the-clock service. There are three gourmet restaurants to choose from, two bars, a spa, an infinity pool, nature trails and diving expeditions. The resort is conveniently located only 25 minutes by speed boat from the Maldives International Airport.
Rates at Baros Maldives start from $675 (approx. £464) per night in a Deluxe Villa on a B&B basis, excluding taxes. For more information please visit www.baros.com/villas-maldives/baros-suites
