An Essex Wedding - May/June 2023 (Issue 110)

DRESSED TO IMPRESS As it was a winter wedding, Jessica chose a gown with full sleeves from Confetti and Lace. With plenty of embellishment and a flowing train, her hair in soft waves, she exuded style and sophistication. Ross and the groomsmen wowed in simple, black tux. However, Jess recalls one certain dilemma on the day, “The morning of the wedding the younger boys put their shirts on (Ross’s only job was to buy them as they weren’t in stock when I tried them on in the shop). Unfortunately, Ross didn’t read the package and he’d bought short sleeved versions! So, on the morning of his wedding, Ross was dragging our three boys around Marks and Spencer buying long sleeved school shirts!” TIME TO CELEBRATE Jessica and Ross hired a singer to entertain throughout the meal which everyone enjoyed. As it was NYE, everyone was very ready to party and get on the dancefloor. Jessica recalls, “The best thing we did for our wedding was hiring soft play – it was set up at the back of the marquee, so whilst all the adults ate (and drunk!) all the kids played – they had mini cars they would drive around in which was brilliant and made everyone happy!” MEMORABLE MOMENTS Jessica and Ross were so happy with their day and their wonderful photographer, Hayley. Jessica advises, “If you can, book a package, it takes away so much stress as everything is already sorted. Secondly, use Hayley as your photographer as she was more like a friend than a photographer and we were able to say yes or no to what we wanted. She really delivered on all the photos we were after.” 39 REAL WEDDINGS
