An Essex Wedding - Page number 38 - July/August 2021 (Issue 99)

Michelle from Occasions Covered provided wonderful lace chair covers with hessian bows. The aisle was dressed with a white runner and two bay trees. The venue itself is an intimate space full of exposed wood and natural light, which really made the purple flowers pop. We went for a rustic theme, with a royal purple palette. Adeela at Fauxevermore was a complete star! Not only did she adapt the designs to suit a ceremony-only celebration, but she created a stunning floral arch from the flowers that were meant for the tables. Best of all, the blooms were all silk so I can keep them as a memento. We revised our plans several times, but I was dete rmined to keep the date we’d chosen. None of our suppliers had to cancel, whic h was incredibly lucky as many other couples weren’t as fortunate. I had started planning all the touches that would make our day extra special. However, for four months we didn’t even know if we’d be allowed to get married – let alone have a party! Our hope was reignited when restrictions lifted enough to allow weddings with 30 guests. It was difficult, but everyone was understanding and we went full steam ahead with planning our intimate nuptials. 38
