If you’re joining us for the first time following a Valentine’s proposal *squeals*, then get ready to meet the best suppliers our county has to offer. You’re probably feeling slightly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choice you have, but don’t worry, we’ve been showcasing the best of the Essex wedding industry for more than 15 years – so you’ve come to the right place!
I’m super-nosey so I particularly love our real wedding features (starting on page 42), and our lovely fashion editor, Claire Ridley, always has a treat with her incredible dress picks (page 78). Don’t know where to start with your wed-min? We have three whole pages of advice from local experts in our Planning SOS feature (page 65). If you’re longing for some sunshine, then we hear you! Check out our travel section (page 121) for some post-vow getaway inspo.
Enjoy!

Baddow Park House
Couples tying the knot here have a vast expanse of gardens, terraces and parkland at their disposal. The exclusive-use Baddow Park House is a stylish sanctuary allowing parties to explore their surroundings undisturbed.
The quintessentially English country house retains its original charms while offering incredibly high levels of comfort, style and attention to detail. Following an extensive refurbishment, the venue has reopened as a private country venue with a sumptuous bridal suite and six well-appointed guest bedrooms, which are all elegantly furnished.
For smaller weddings, couples should consider the Dining Room (40 guests). Its oak-panelled walls and bay window provide an intimate backdrop. The Drawing Room (80 guests) is beautifully light and offers stunning views across the parkland. Currently under construction, the breathtaking Orangery will hold up to 150 loved ones.
Couples will love the sunset views over the vineyard at the rear of the house, while a fire pit will keep everyone cosy outside.
