Being a November baby and Christmas fanatic, this time of year has a special place in my heart. As for winter nuptials, well, is there anything more magical? One of my best friends got married at Christmas, and the luxurious decorations, roaring log fire and delicious warming food will forever be in my memory – what a wedding! If you’re just starting your journey and haven’t decided when to get married, then our Winter Wonderland venues feature (page 27) puts forward a pretty good argument for choosing this season.
We have such a treat for you this issue with three incredible styled shoots. Two will get you reaching for the mulled wine with their wonderfully seasonal feel (pages 93 and 103), while the third is a drop-dead gorgeous Marie Antoinette-inspired shoot (page 63).

Gilwell Park
Gilwell Park is set within 108 acres of grounds on the edge of Epping Forest, just 20 minutes from the bustling capital. A 17th-century Grade II listed house, it’s been sympathetically restored to offer modern facilities while retaining its period character. The impressive white façade and manicured lawn are perfect for photos and al fresco drinks receptions.
There are a number of wonderful rooms available for weddings of up to 150 people. The white house is perfect for parties of up to 80 guests. However, if you have a larger guest list of up to 250 people, the conference centre is the space for you.
