Jade Gracie married Christopher Jacobs, both 33, at Old Brook Barn, Navestock, on 24th June, 2017.
As soon as we drove up the venue's drive way, we instantly knew that it was the one. It's so well kept and there's also a secret garden, which is super-sweet.
Chris and his groomsmen opted for a three-piece navy suit from Debenhams. The groom wore a patterned tie while the men of the bridal party had navy ones.
My gown was a sparkly 1940s-styled Ronald Joyce design, which fitted with our circus theme. I accessorised with flowers in my hair as I'd always wanted.
My bridesmaids looked lovely in their navy fishtail-style dress from ASOS, they featured a low back that matched my gown.
I'm a florist, so made all the floral décor myself. I wanted really bright and fun flowers and my favourites are coral peonies, which is why we choose to marry in June, to ensure that they were available. There were arranged alongside Miss Piggy and hydrangea delphiniums roses.
Our table plan was hook-a-duck, which was great fun – they also doubled up as key rings to take home.
Our place names where similar to tarot cards, each person was a different circus character – I was the amazing tight rope walker and Chris was the terrifying tattooed man.
For our centrepieces we opted for big chunky candle sticks topped with a bright posy of blooms with lots of tiny vintage-blue bottles underneath with single stems in.
Chris's mum made a beautiful four-tiered iced cake adorned with lots of flowers. One layer was broken in transit, so it became three tiers instead. We wanted it to look like it was sitting on top of an elephant stand like the ones you see at the circus, which we made out of an old bucket.
For our favours we filled jam jars with clear bubble bath and added a small plastic gold fish – to resemble the ones you used to win in the fair.
After the ceremony we had a vintage fun fair in the secret garden with ice creams, high strikers, hoopla, beat the buzzer and lots more – our guests absolutely loved it!
To greet us into the fun fair were the amazing Acro-Chaps, an acrobat trio who were dressed as vintage strongmen – they were brilliant and had us all in stitches with their cheeky ways.
