Mellissa Hurrell, 27, married Paul 'PJ' O'Driscoll, 28, at Corpus Christi, Romford, followed by a reception at The White Horse Pub, Brentwood on 26th August, 2017.
PJ and his groomsmen donned navy suits and the groom and best man stood out with waistcoats.
I tried on so many different styles and I took my two maids-of-honour with me to help. When I tried on the Elodie design by Willowby at Watters, I had the biggest smile on my face – I truly felt like a princess. I didn't feel the dress needed to be accessorised much as it had detailing on the bodice. My veil was plain with some beading on the clasp to complement my dress and PJ commissioned a sapphire necklace and matching earrings for my something blue.
We choose Corpus Christi as our ceremony venue as PJ is Catholic, it's local to us, has a long altar and is just lovely and airy.
The bridesmaids wore tulle skirts and each chose a blush top in a different style.
We didn't have a traditional cake and instead opted for cake pops in two different hues – which were laid out to spell 'love.'
Our rustic centrepieces comprised of vases of flowers and tea lights set on a wooden slice.
The flowergirls wore a white vest with a bow on the back and tulle skirts in a nude shade.
We had a variety of spreads for our favours, all from the Tiptree Jam Factory. These were displayed in a basket, which allowed people to help themselves.
We hired singer Jamie Mathias who wrote and performed our first dance song – he was amazing and our guests loved him.
We had a flower wall that doubled as a gorgeous backdrop for our photo booth in the evening.
Our photographers Julia and Michelle and wedding planners Louise and Natalie made sure the day ran smoothly, allowing us to be able to fully enjoy our nuptials from start to finish.
