Found in a corner of the award-winning Valentines Park, Illford, Essex the Grade II* listed Valentines Mansion is surrounded by historic gardens. From the enchanting Old English Garden to the Kitchen Garden and 18th-century Rose Garden, the grounds offer picturesque backdrops year-round. The impressive Georgian-style mansion is equally as photogenic, with its porte cochère and balcony. Inside, visitors find a wonderful mix of period features such as a grand staircase, Venetian stained-glass window and ornate fireplaces, alongside contemporary styling.

There are four ceremony spaces to choose from. The Drawing Room (70 guests) is the largest, providing couples with an elegant setting, garden views and a romantic balcony. The Morning Room (40 guests) offers vistas from its lovely bay window. The Holcombe Room (12 guests) is a smart and stylish space for intimate gatherings. Those looking for a contemporary option should consider The Gallery (40 guests) with its carefully selected exhibitions. Receptions can be held in all of the above spaces, as well as the historical Regency Parlour (12 people) and the charming Bird Room (12 people). When booking the exclusive-use package, couples can also use the fabulous recreated Victorian kitchen. Steeped in heritage, it has original stone flooring and two mid-Victorian ranges.

We love... The sumptuous Bedchamber is available for couples booking exclusive-use of the venue to get ready in. Including a dresser, chaise longue and full-length mirror, it's the ideal spot to enjoy beautiful views while adding the finishing touches to your look.
