Reached via a tree-lined driveway, this historic Georgian house sits within 15 acres of undulated rural parkland adjoining the River Ter, in Hatfield Peveral, Chelmsford, Essex. Carefully restored, its many original features are complemented with a subtle hint of the contemporary. Offering a true country house feel, this venue has a welcoming reception hall with a magnificent oval staircase with hand-painted murals, a beautiful ballroom, sun-kissed terrace and an elegant drawing room to relax in. Twelve individually designed luxury suites are also available.

Inside, there are two locations for ceremonies. The Ballroom (100 guests) offers a stylish feel with its subtle grey tones and rich silk draping set against a backdrop of idyllic views. The Morning Room (50 guests) is perfect for smaller congregations. Alternatively, step outside for a ceremony on the Terrace (100 guests).In addition to the exquisite house is the beautiful new Walled Garden. This wow-factor venue has been carefully designed to balance country-garden style with a modern twist. Incorporating the Ceremony Hall and the Orangery (both holding 200 guests), it is tucked away for total privacy and offers light-filled spaces and enchanting views.
