Set in acres of glorious Essex countryside, the landscaped grounds of Orsett Hall Hotel provide endless picture-perfect spots for wedding photography. Guests can relax on the terrace or take a walk to the koi carp pond with its romantic wrought-iron bridge. An extensive refurbishment took place in 2007 to bring the original hotel back to life. Built in the same Georgian style, the hotel's sand-coloured brick exterior contrasts effortlessly with its glorious green surroundings. Inside, each space has its own distinctive style and a luxuriously chic feel runs throughout.

The venue has two ceremony options for up to 120 loved ones. The Chapel is situated within the grounds and is decorated in subtle pastel tones complete with an intricate tiled floor. Tall wooden beams and high ceilings amplify sounds to give a church-like quality. Outside, the new Wedding Gazebo offers a delightful garden setting in the summer months.After the formalities, couples can choose from four reception rooms. The Pavilion is the largest suite (520 guests) and boasts its own pond and private grounds with outdoor seating. The Whitmore Suite (250 guests) is adorned in grey and silver tones with twinkling chandeliers. With large windows and a period fireplace, The Gold Room (200 guests) is a more traditional setting, while the smallest option is The Jaguar Bar (48 guests). This can also be hired as an addition to The Pavilion.

We love... Newlyweds-to-be will be glad to know that there are three suppliers on-site to help plan their big day: a florist and decorator, hair salon and a Rolls Royce Phantom to hire.
