Arrow Vintage Cars is now celebrating their thirty first year of full time operation (since 1988) for weddings, TV and film work.
However... their history goes back a lot further. The founder Carl, commenced wedding hire in August 1968 just doing weddings for colleagues at work in one or other of his collector cars, then the friends of the colleagues requested his services, snowballing into friends of friends asking the same thing. So work was in an American bank Monday to Friday and Saturday was very often "wedding day".
In 1987 an opportunity arose to leave banking (after 25 years) and start up full time which he did. Carl's son, Simon, is now the lead player in the business which has some twenty cars available. Carl however hasn't quite let go of the reins and the pair can usually be found working on their latest project a 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible.
The car is currently in the paint shop and will return in a resplendent "Mountain Laurel" (a soft pink) to be refitted with a new white leather interior and matching white power operated convertible top and all the brightwork re-chromed. She will be ready for the 2020 season.
So, if your fancy is a genuine 1920's or 1930's vintage car, a classic Rolls from the 1950's a Cadillac from the same era or even a 1951 Wolseley Police car, we can accommodate!"
