Essex-based eco glitter bar, Luxurious Glitter, is doing its bit for NHS staff and key workers

The lovely Claire of Essex-based Luxurious Glitter tells us about her Isolation Survival Kits, and how the company is doing its bit to bring some cheer to the county...

How did you come up with the idea?
We had just launched our range of glitter survival kits when coronavirus hit the UK and everyone was talking about going into isolation, which was a bit gutting for us. We had sent out loads of personalised kits to our fellow suppliers and were at a bit of a dead end with it all - then we had a lightbulb moment! In the wake of all the wedding cancellations that were going on, we wanted to show our brides that we cared, so we came up with the mini isolation survival kits.

Who has received them?
We posted about the kits on Instagram and Facebook for people to message us so we could also send packages out to the fabulous NHS staff, key workers and anyone else needing a little pick-me-up in these strange times. The kits have made their way to hospital wards, schools and brides. We also opened them up to everyone for Mother's Day after seeing how sad people were that they couldn't spend time with their mums.

The kits themselves are made up of one of our eco-glitter blends, an aloe gel for applying, a mirror, looks card and a thank you note. We still have a handful of these to give out and would love for them to go to anyone in need of brightening up!

Tell us a bit a bit about the company...
We're an eco glitter bar available to hire across Essex and Kent for weddings, festivals, parties and events. We have a huge selection of eco glitter, reusable gems and paints, along with an awesome team of glitter artists who go all out to give our party guests a bit of festival sparkle to party on with.

The company has launched its own range of glitter survival kits for all glitter lovers out there. There are starter emergency kits right up to the ultimate kit for an in-your-face glitter experience. They're perfect gifts, or as an addition to any hen do!
