Top tips for having a low waste wedding
Getting married is one of the most exciting days of your life, and you'll want it to be as special as...
Shelley Bell Independent Family Celebrant in Essex gives us her top tips for booking your wedding ceremony...
- Training. It's easy to download a ceremony script from the internet and insert names and places, but without training you won't get a bespoke ceremony that reflects your style in a professional way. Remember, it's not just the words that are said, but also the position of your speakers, the microphones, the pace and tone of delivery and understanding everything else that'll be happening on the day.
- Insurance. None of us want to think that we'll need it, but there are some things in life you can't predict, and the ceremony is a big part of the day to miss if anything goes wrong. Not only do I have public liability insurance, but I also have a network of fellow celebrants who can be called upon, if needed.
- Personality. Does you celebrant float your boat? Are they excited by your ideas? Can they make suggestions and turn them into tangible results? Will they dress as a hedgehog if that's what you want? You may not be promising a lifetime of friendship with your celebrant, but they will work really hard to reflect you as a couple in the ceremony.
