Credit: Chanon De Valois PhotographyWe're getting married in December, but don't want a full-on Christmas theme. How do we get a festive feel without it being over the top?
December weddings don't have to be all about tinsel and crackers. We have styled many festive weddings over the years and I always ask my couples, "What is the true meaning of Christmas to you?" Most people say family, friends and the warmth that surrounds them at the most magical time of year.
With that in mind, we like to create weddings that give them that feeling. Starting with short centrepieces that keep the tables intimate and sociable. For the florals, we love warm tones with lush green winter foliage, berries and pine cones, all of which have that wonderful Christmassy scent. Add some candlelight and our starlit backdrop for some added sparkle, and you'll have the most wonderful love-filled December wedding – without the baubles!
