Five minutes with... photographer Fiona Bromsgrove

Based in Chelmsford, Essex, An Essex Wedding chats to photographer Fiona Bromsgrove, of Photography by Bromsgrove, about one of her recent couples... 

"From the moment I met Aimee and Tom at a wedding fair, through their beach engagement shoot and finally their wedding day, I found myself falling more and more in love with this wonderful pair.

"There are so many things we remember from the weddings we photograph, but with Aimee and Tom, the love for those who couldn't be there was truly palpable. Every detail was so thoughtful, beautiful and understated. From the roses lining the aisle and the personal signature pendant, to the heartfelt mentions woven throughout the speeches, every element honoured a much-missed loved one. By the end of the day, I felt as though I knew him too. His presence was everywhere – in the stories, the smiles, the tears and the laughter. It genuinely felt as though he was there with everyone.

"The whole day was made even more special by the incredible bridal party, who couldn't have been more helpful, and by Aimee and Tom's beautiful boys, who brought so much joy to the celebration. There was such a wonderful sense of family throughout the day – not just family by blood, but the chosen family who surrounded them with so much love and support.

"Copdock Hall is such a special venue, particularly its breathtaking outdoor ceremony space, reached from the beautiful barn via the stunning lavender-lined pathway. Then, as the day turned to evening, guests were led through to the celebrations by The Function Band – an unforgettable moment that set the tone perfectly for an incredible party.

"I always feel grateful to be trusted with such precious memories, but it really was an honour to photograph this beautiful family twice. I'm also so excited to have been asked to photograph Aimee's brother's wedding next year. I genuinely can't wait to be part of another chapter in this family's story."
