May/June 2024

Wedding season is well and truly upon us and the temperature is rising, slowly but surely! My heart sang this Saturday morning... I was driving along the A12, the sun was shining and driving past me was a beautiful, vintage Imperial Viscount. The driver, wearing a top hat, looked calm and ready to collect the bride and escort her to say those special vows. Goosebumps, right? I’m so excited to have my inbox filled from brides and grooms telling me about their days – and I can’t wait to see 2024’s wedding trends put into action. As you may already know, we feature three ‘real weddings’ - that’s you - every issue. So please do get in touch!

This May/June edition also has a feature dedicated to cake! Three pages generously filled with mouthwatering designs. We also highlight a range of dresses available from local bridal boutiques if you’re still searching for ‘the one!’ And as always, we have our reader dilemmas answered in our Hot Topic section as well as a Fashion & Beauty Q&A.

To submit your own nuptials to grace the pages of An Essex Wedding, get in touch via our website: www.anessex.wedding/get-involved

Happy Planning!

Leez Priory

Leez Priory is a stunning Tudor manor house. The ancient red brick architecture is steeped with characterful features including castle-like battlements, leaded windows and an outer gate house complete with original and ornately carved solid oak doors. The historic Great Tower, accessed by a fairytale spiral staircase, is a fantastic feature and can be used for a more intimate ceremony, for photographs and also as the backdrop for your nuptials too.

There’s a choice of eight licensed locations ranging from the Tower to the Coach House Barn to the Great Hall. With such stunning grounds and ancient Tudor backdrops, alfresco wedding ceremonies at Leez Priory are extremely popular including the recently added lake ceremony, where you can say ‘I do’ overlooking a picturesque lake with fountain.

Your evening reception can host up to 250 guests. Leez Priory offers you the exclusive use of a charming carriageway, the Great Tower, two reception rooms, bar and a characterful cellar disco.

The Tower is a real showstopper either as a stunning backdrop to photos or as an intimate ceremony option.
