A reader recently explained to us at An Essex Wedding mag how she knew she was a total control freak and how her partner had suggested to take a step back and hire a wedding planner. She was confused and wanted advice. We spoke exclusively to Joanne Alexander of Moments Like This Weddings to find out her words of wisdom!

"Planning a wedding is an exciting and joyful experience, but it can also be overwhelming and stressful. This is why many couples choose to hire a wedding coordinator to help them navigate the intricate details of their special day. While working with a professional can alleviate much of the pressure, it's important for couples to maintain their wedding vision throughout the planning process." Says Jo. "Planning a wedding is a time-consuming endeavour, and many couples find themselves overwhelmed by the sheer volume of decisions that need to be made. A wedding coordinator can streamline the planning process, offering valuable insights and recommendations that align with the couple's vision. Additionally, they can handle the logistical aspects of the wedding, allowing the couple to savour the moments leading up to their big day without feeling bogged down by the minutiae of planning.

"Couples should take an active role in decision-making, especially when it comes to elements that are integral to their wedding vision. Whether it's selecting a colour scheme, curating a playlist, or choosing floral arrangements, couples should express their preferences and make final decisions on these personal touches. This level of involvement ensures that the wedding reflects their unique style and personality."
