Greenwoods welcomes Carol and Mark Wright Senior

TV presenter and columnist Carol Wright and her husband Mark Wright Snr enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at Greenwoods Hotel & Spa in Stock, the first time they had visited - with plans to return! Situated in the pretty village of Stock, Essex, the Grade 11 listed building manor house is home to one of the Essex’s finest boutique hotels that has won multiple awards in the last 10 years for its spa, gourmet food and wedding facilities.

Carol and Mark Senior who have both regular appeared on a number of popular reality TV shows and mum and dad to presenter and DJ Mark Wright both enjoyed treatments in the luxury spa. Carol opted for the Greenwoods Luxury Facial which includes essential lymph drainage and a blissful scalp massage, £70 for 65 minutes while Mark snr unwound from a recent business trip with the Greenwoods Signature Full Body Massage: a top to toe destressing massage, including scalp massage, £70 for 50 minutes.

Spa treatments can be booked as part of a package or individually and are available seven days a week with discounts for hotel guests. Greenwoods Aesthetics, a newly appointed clinic, offers a range of high tech treatments including the latest skin rejuvenating skin boosters and B12 injections to help beat fatigue and boost immunity,

As part of any spa package you can use the 20 metre pool and spa facilities including sauna, steam and jacuzzi as well as the well-appointed gym with prices starting from around £105 with lunch and a 25 minute taster treatment.

Feeling refreshed and glowing Carol and Mark were invited to try the afternoon tea, available seven days a week in the elegant but cosy lounge that includes a selection of freshly made sandwiches, cakes and pastries, home made scones and preserves plus plenty of tea. Prices start from £32, with vegan afternoon teas available and prosecco afternoon tea upgrades.

Carol said: " My idea of heaven really is a spa combined with delicious cakes and tea, I love the way my skin looks and feels and I'll definitely be bringing family and friends back to spoil them. Mark senior agreed: 'With all the rushing around and commitments we have it so's nice just to kick back and chill out. I could have sat in the lounge for another an hour or two just soaking up the great atmosphere!'
