Things are heating up at Down Hall Hotel, Spa and Estate this summer with the return of Live From The Lawn – a series of free live music events - and soulful Sunday Jazz Brunches, both bringing feel-good vibes to the heart of the Essex countryside. From party mixes to Motown classics, the hotel has teamed up with a brilliant selection of talented local artists to entertain all season long. Bask on the sun-soaked terrace with seasonal summer plates, refreshing cocktails, cooling Saffron Waldon ice cream and boogie away to the ultimate soundtrack to your summer.

LIVE FROM THE LAWN - FRIDAY EVENINGS
Celebrate long, balmy summer evenings with up-beat, toe-tapping tunes from a roster of local talent, including Christie Prentice, Gary Winter, Lovelight DJ, Greg the Sax, and Fox Wiggle and Sass. Pull up a chair on the hotel's impressive terrace, sip on Down Hall's very own Garden Gin with tonic, and feast on the freshest seasonal plates while enjoying an evening of live music as the sun goes down. Delight in the likes of crispy buffalo cauliflower, cream chive dressing; spiced cod tacos, pickled red cabbage, slaw, avocado, lime; pesto linguine with cherry tomatoes, as well as a selection of homemade, stone-baked pizzas. With views of the stunning manicured gardens and the sun setting over the 19th century Italianate mansion, Down Hall offers an idyllic setting to unwind and savour the joys of summer.
Running from 7th June – 27th September. Free entry, pre-booking essential. Music starts at 7pm and finishes at 9:30pm. SUNDAY JAZZ BRUNCH
Amp up the atmosphere to your Sunday brunch and enjoy the sounds of soulful jazz on Down Hall's picturesque terrace. Priced at £40 per person, guests can expect smooth sounds of jazz, alongside a delectable brunch dish, such as smashed spiced avocado or waffles with berry compote and maple syrup, served with a basket of freshly baked pastries and a glass of Kingscote sparkling wine.

ICE-CREAM CART
Keep cool with Down Hall's newly launched ice-cream cart in partnership with Saffron Ice Cream Company. Serving locally produced ice cream, guests can choose from a variety of unique and refreshing flavours, including summer strawberries and cream; salted butter caramel; gin, tonic and cucumber sorbet; Cammas Hall raspberry sorbet with raspberries from the fruit farm; as well as classics, such as chocolate and vanilla. Guests' four legged friends can also enjoy cooling iced treats, with specially made strawberry, apple and sweet potato; and broccoli, carrot and blueberry ice cream. Take a leisurely walk around the expansive 110-acre estate with your pooch or work up a sweat on the padel tennis court before tucking into a refreshing tub of ice cream or waffle cone.
