Escape this Valentine’s Day

Love is in the air at stunning Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate. Located in the beautiful Essex countryside, just 45 minutes from London, the new Valentine’s Stay with Dinner package features a tempting four-course dinner accompanied by the sounds of a live pianist; perfect for those wanting to escape and celebrate, with a dose of rural romance. Available on Saturday 11th February and Tuesday 14th February, lovebirds can check into one of the hotel’s charming Classic Bedrooms adorned with scattered rose petals and toast their love with a bottle of prosecco whilst indulging in chocolate-dipped strawberries. Continue the celebrations with a romantic walk around the beautiful 110 acre grounds, before enjoying dinner on-site at the hotel’s modern-British restaurant.

To the backdrop of a live pianist, enjoy delectable dishes from Executive Chef Robert Pearce that put the spotlight on the seasonal ingredients, sourced directly from the hotel's kitchen garden. Highlights include pan-seared Orkney scallops, caramelised cauliflower purée, crackling, puff rice, pancetta; duo of beef, treacle cured rump, braised beef, truffled pomme Anna, charred purple sprouting broccoli, beef jus; and a sharing dessert of chocolate fondue or British cheeseboard. Oysters are also available at a supplement and can be enjoyed alongside a glass of champagne.

The special Valentine's Day four-course menu will also be available to non-residents on 11th and 14th February for £65 per person.

The Valentine's Stay with Dinner package is priced at £330 per couple, inclusive of a four-course dinner for two and breakfast the next morning. To book, please email the reservations team at reservations@downhall.co.uk. Alternatively, please call on +44 (0)1279 731 441.
